In 2020, then Dr. Angel Yordanov under the harmful influence of Dr. Mariela Vassileva decided to create a biobank for tumor tissues at MU-Pleven to serve their future projects
In 2021 Dr. Mariela Vassileva participated in the competition “Entrepreneurs in Science 2021” of the Karoll Foundation and together with Assoc. Dr. Yordanov won the grand prize in the competition, as well as an award from the “Lachezar Tsotzorkov” Foundation
